Niseko Test Team

When a group of friends said they were going to lose themselves in the backcountry of Niseko, Japan, we saw it as the perfect opportunity to test the performance of our kit in the most amazing powder and extreme conditions.only a few places in the world could offer.

With camera in hand and a truckload of kit we said our goodbyes, wished them well and told them to " do exactly what you want ", which they did funnily enough ! As you'll see, this is no place for ' first time bambi's ' and the results are awesome !

Niseko is known for some of the best off-piste powder free- skiing and snowboarding in the world, delivering up to 16 metres of snow in a season.

With only 8% water quantity, the snow is deep and dry which in turn gives you powder most riders can only dream of.

With a smile on their faces, Team Surfanic put their bodies on the line time after time, pushing the boundaries and testing themselves and their kit to the max. Good work if you can get it ! If this video doesn't inspire you to get back on the hill and shred it up, nothing will !

( note : all riders and kit made it home in one piece and lived to board another day ! )
